PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS
I am closing my practice January 1st, 2019.
I do this with a heavy heart but for now a new venture awaits.
I think Walt Disney has said it best: "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths".
I am thankful to everyone who has shared and supported me on this journey and I hope to reconnect with you in the future.
My philosophy is simple: I truly believe that the human body can heal itself. In essence, I try and facilitate that natural healing process by listening to and understanding each client's particular needs by working collaboratively to develop an individualized treatment plan that enhances your experience. Whether it's through pure relaxation techniques, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, or postural education, we will be working together to help you optimize your health and well being.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

All massages include complimentary aromatherapy, heat packs and moist hot towels!
$75 / 60 minutes or $95 / 90 minutes
Every massage should be as unique and individual as you. I employ a conceptual approach in my massage practice, integrating a variety of massage’s most effective techniques in the treatment of soft-tissue dysfunctions, pain and injuries. This accession can address dysfunctions relating to: stress, prolonged computer work, bad posture, sports or any other type of injuries, excessive athletic training, repetitive overuse of muscle groups (which can result to various syndromes, like Repetitive Stress Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Patellofemoral Syndrome, various orthopedic conditions ( i.e. scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis), headaches, etc.
In addition, a more therapeutic approach is used for relaxation, persons who are more sensitive to touch, or have neuromuscular conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or Fibromyalgia.
Hot Stone Massage
$80 / 60 minutes or $100 / 90 minutes
A hot stone massage is the perfect way to melt away your tension and stress, ease muscle pain and increase your circulation. The water-heated basalt stones are used as an extension in the therapist’s hands, guiding the heat and pressure over the body, giving you a deeper sense of relaxation. The direct heat of the hot stone relaxes the muscle allowing the therapist to access deeper muscle layers in your body, giving you more relief. Heat is often used to reduce muscle tension and soreness because it helps increase blood flow to the affected areas. Heat can also help improve flexibility and range of motion.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
for General Detox & Partial Lymph Node Removal
$80 / 60 minutes or $100 / 90 minutes
Lymph drainage therapy is a gentle, light-touch, and powerful technique that promotes natural lymph movement and circulation. The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system and an important part of the immune system, comprising of a network of lymphatic vessels that carry a clear fluid called lymph directionally towards the heart. The lymphatic system has multiple interrelated functions:
It is responsible for the removal of interstitial fluid from tissues.
It absorbs and transports fatty acids and fats, such as chyle, from the digestive system.
It transports white blood cells to and from the lymph nodes into the bones.
The lymph transports antigen-presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, to the lymph nodes where an immune response is stimulated.
Lymph drainage therapy can provide relief from chronic inflammation, supports pre- and post-surgical recovery, scar and trauma management. For cancer patients, lymph drainage therapy provides pain relief and aids in detoxifying the body after chemotherapy.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
for Complete Lymph Node Removal
$100 / 90 minutes
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is often implemented to help alleviate excess fluid and help the healing process by decreasing bruising and swelling, increasing comfort. This is a gentle, light-touch, and powerful technique that promotes natural lymph movement and circulation.
Lymph nodes serve as filters to purify the interstitial fluid sent to them via the lymphatic vessels. Their second function is to work like small bulb syringes—tiny little vacuums that draw in interstitial fluid. They absorb fluid, detoxify the body, and prevent and resolve congestion in the tissues. When lymph nodes are removed in order to stage or treat cancer, the corresponding limb or quadrant of the body loses some of its suction ability, or ability to pull lymphatic fluid from the affected body part. This can lead to congestion in the tissues and uncomfortable and debilitating edema that decreases mobility and function.
Lymphatic fluid is made up of water, protein and cellular debris—viruses, bacteria and other pollutants that are drained by the tissues of the body. In oncology cases, full-body MLD can be used following active chemotherapy treatment to speed detoxification, cleanse and purify the tissues, and decrease some of the byproducts of the chemotherapy.
*An oncologist's clearance is required for all services for clients actively receiving chemotherapy or have had recent surgery*

Prenatal massage is specifically geared toward caring for women who are expecting. These sessions concentrate on the specific needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the many dramatic changes of pregnancy. A side-lying position is favored, with comfortable pillows and bolstering, to achieve maximum relaxation and minimize pressure on the abdomin.
Massage can serve to increase the health of mom and baby and even improve labor and birth. Hormones control pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. The hormones of stress or relaxation, and the flow of fluids and lymph through the body directly impact the health of the pregnancy, the development of the baby, the onset and progression of labor, and the physical and emotional adjustment of mothers in the months before and after labor. This means that just like a healthily diet is important for mom and baby’s health, utilizing massage to maintain a healthy balance of hormones and prevent physical discomfort is crucial to fetal development and minimizing the likelihood of complications and injuries in pregnancy and birth.
Reflexology is the application of pressure to the feet with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which correspond to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs. When the reflexes are stimulated, the body's natural electrical energy works along the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. Manipulating specific reflexes removes stress, activating a parasympathetic (nervous system) response in the body to enable the blockages to be released by a physiological change in the body. With stress removed and circulation enhanced, the body is allowed to return to a state of homeostasis.

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses light to create heat. This type of sauna is sometimes called a far-infrared sauna — "far" describes where the infrared waves fall on the light spectrum. Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat the body from within rather than the air from without, as a traditional sauna does.
The appeal of saunas in general is that they cause reactions similar to those elicited by moderate exercise, such as vigorous sweating and increased heart rate. An infrared sauna produces these results at lower temperatures than does a regular sauna, which makes it accessible to people who can't tolerate the heat of a conventional sauna.
Saunas can quickly and effectively help you get back to feeling amazing again. Sauna therapy has been around for centuries as a way to detoxify your body, but did you know that full spectrum infrared saunas can go even further by heating up your body’s core to a cellular level, where most toxins are stored?
Infrared’s deep penetrating heat is what most effectively stimulates metabolic activity, which in turn triggers the release of stored toxins through sweat, as well as through the liver and kidneys.
Think about it: this is why your body goes into fever conditions when you’re sick— a hotter body increases metabolic activity, kills unwanted intruders, and stimulates the release of toxins. Viruses and sometimes even tumor cells can be destroyed in the face of heat.
Highly emissive far infrared saunas help recreate your body’s fever-like response condition but raising your core body temperature, to make you feel even better inside and out. This post explains what they are and how they work to upgrade you from the inside-out.
